Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Bin Abdul Manaf

Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director 3D International Sdn Bhd

Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Bin Abdul Manaf, aged 64, is a full-time businessman.  Before venturing into business, he was a senior partner in a legal firm in Kuala Lumpur until his retirement on 24 August 2006. Tan Sri Rashid read law in Middle Temple, London, England and returned to Malaysia in 1970 as a Barrister-at-law. He joined the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service in 1971 and became a Magistrate until 1973 when he became the President of the Sessions Court, in Klang. In 1975 he became Senior Federal Counsel in the Income Tax Department. He left the Government service in 1977.

As the managing partner of the legal firm Rashid & Lee, he has been involved in various government of Malaysia transaction on and off-shore and also in various infrastructure projects in the country. He is also currently the Chairman of SP Setia Bhd the prime property & housing development companies in Malaysia.

Tan Sri has also been a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public for many years till 2006.

In June 2001 he was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Diraja by His Majesty Yang DiPertuan Agong and subsequently honoured again by being awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Mulia - Peringkat Pertama Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang in October, 2002.

In June 2004, he was awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota which carries the title "Tan Sri" by His Majesty Yang DiPertuan Agong.
 

Danny Ng Siew L’Leong

Group CFO, CEO 3D International Manufacturing Sdn Bhd and Managing Director of 3D International Europe GMBH

Aged 53 holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (Honours) with a major in Financial Management from University Putra Malaysia. He was with United Malayan Banking Corporation Berhad (now known as RHB Bank Berhad) as a Credit Analyst from 1982 to 1986, Unit Head of the Northern Region of the Corporate Banking Department until 1991. He was Head of Credit and Marketing for the Corporate Banking Department from 1991 to 1994. In 1995, he joined Mastika Nuri Sdn Bhd, an investment holding company as General Manager. He is a Director of New Hoong Fatt Holdings Berhad, SMIS Corporation Berhad and is also the Chairman of the Audit Committees of the abovementioned Public Listed Companies.  He is also a director in several other private limited companies. His primary area of expertise is corporate finance advisory and restructuring works. He has personally assisted and advised on many mergers, acquisitions and Initial Public Offerings of Public Listed Companies. He also has 25 years of corporate finance and investment experience. He has acquired in-depth knowledge of the 3D industry over the years being one of the Founder Directors of the Group, namely 3DI Manufacturing Sdn Bhd

Ravi Srivastava

Group COO and Director Global Business Development 3D International Sdn Bhd

Ravi Srivastava has gained 15 years of experience in Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Consultancy and Management sectors such as Manufacturing, IT Consultancy, Technology Consultancy and 3D Technology Enterprises in various parts of the world; Africa, Europe and Asia. He was one of first in Malaysia to be involved in bringing 3D to the country and has for the last 6 years been developing the 3D business. He was instrumental in the creation of 3D International Sdn Bhd and the acquisition of both 3D International Manufacturing and 3D International Europe GmbH. He has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Electronics with an MPhil in Engineering and an MBA in International Management. His management experiences developed while in different sectors along with his experiences in various parts of the world give him a unique perspective to understanding businesses and management. Coupled with his ability to adapt to situations readily and experiences in Business Development at a high level he provides 3DI with a fundamental expertise that is different from others.
 

Alfred Chong

Group CMO and Managing Director of 3D International Singapore Pte Ltd.

Alfred Chong heads 3DI’s initiatives in Singapore and also leads the company’s marketing efforts on a global basis. 

 

Mr Chong began his professional career in his garage with just 2 employees and US$1,000 of borrowed capital in building a Systems Integration company which was acquired by CompuCom Systems Inc. After the acquisition, Mr Chong took on the challenge to built CompuCom’s services’ infrastructure in the US and grew the services division into a US$ 100 million business.


Mr Chong moved back to Asia in 1997 and has since then led several American based companies such as Powercell, Capstone and Bowman in expanding into Asia. Mr Chong was CEO, Asia for Atex Media Command from 2004-2005, a global leader provider of solutions and services to the media industry, where he worked across-functional teams to develop software development efficiencies and improve operational processes for the region. Mr Chong also led satellite communications company THISS Technologies Inc., 121View, a Digital Signage company, based in Singapore, before joining 3DI. 

The Singapore American Business Association in the United States named Mr. Chong the Entrepreneur of the Year.  The San Francisco Chronicle named Mr. Chong as one of twenty-four foreign-born high technology “visionaries” who have helped to make the San Francisco Bay Area the world’s technology leader.  Mr. Chong received both his B.S. degree in Computer Science and his M.B.A. degree from the University of San Francisco.

Dr. Markus Klippstein

Director Group Operations 3D International Sdn Bhd and Operations Officer 3DI Europe GmbH

As technology leader in hardware and IP manager and being proxy to the MD – same functions as he held from 2006 to 2008 at 3DI Europe GmbH (at that time VisuMotion GmbH) - Markus had been highly instrumental in the development of the X3D Technologies GmbH’s/NewSight GmbH’s key component 3D display technology and was responsible for leading all hardware research and development. So far he was involved in handling over 300 IP applications (patents, utility models, trademarks etc.) including glasses-free and multi-user 3D display technologies and is inventor/co-inventor of more than 60 German patent applications plus >100 derivative applications world-wide. In 2009, he was promoted to become the Managing Director of VisuMotion GmbH following which the company for the first time turned cash positive in 2009. Recently, Markus became Director Group Operations for 3DI Group. He has been active in the 3D market both on technological and international sales activities since more than 12 years. Markus is fluent in English and German and has a basic command of Hungarian, French, Russian and Spanish. Markus holds a doctoral degree in engineering science and a diploma in physics both of Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena.
 

Alexander Schmidt

Group CTO and Chief Technology Officer 3D International Europe GmbH

Alexander Schmidt is currently the Group CTO. As such, he is leading the hardware and software development teams.

Prior to this function, he co-founded VisuMotion GmbH in 2006 and was responsible there for all software development activities. He and his team invented, designed and developed all the important VisuMotion software products as the DeepOutside3D.Z game driver, the content production software z.l.i.c.e.3D / 3D Cam Plugins and the 3D Movie Center.

Before co-founding VisuMotion, Alexander was the technical leader of software development at X3D Technologies GmbH/NewSight since December 2000, where he and his team developed several software titles for 3D content creation, 3D video compression/playback and real-time 3D rendering technology for glasses-free autostereoscopic displays.

Prior to NewSight GmbH, Alexander worked with DaimlerChrysler (Germany) on a project involving virtual reality as well as with several other computer companies throughout Germany.

Alexander is fluent in English and German. As an expert for 3D computer graphics and multimedia systems he earned a computer science degree with a specialization in computer graphics and electronic media technology at Technical University of Ilmenau, Germany.
 

Paul-Louis Meunier

Director Int’l Sales (Japan) and International Sales (Japan) 3D International Europe GmbH

In his position Paul-Louis oversees all strategic partnerships and drives international sales. In his former position as Managing Director at NewSight GmbH (3 years), he made major contributions to achieving substantial sales in the Asia-Pacific region. Moreover, Paul-Louis’ track record includes top-level management positions concerning new technology at Thomson/RCA (23 years). After ten years at the research labs of Thomson/Thalès, he took several positions in Advanced Marketing and Innovation and Newmedia services. He managed multi disciplinary teams and was responsible for multimillion US$ budgets.

Due to his impressive background, he brings an exceptional amount of international industrial and business contacts to the company. Paul-Louis is –among many other outstanding innovations contributing in total to over 150 protective right applications. He was recently rewarded as “outstanding Inventor “by the French minister of Research and Industry. He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

Paul-Louis holds an engineering degree of ESE/Paris and a master in Physics of Paris/Orsay University.
